2017 Fall Color Trends

This season, designers express the many moods of fall with skillfully arranged collections that will enhance and enliven customers’ outlooks as the colder months set in. Similarly, colors come together to create moods that range from sophisticated and structured to lively and vivid, encapsulating our inherent need for wardrobe variety to reflect emotions that run from thoughtfully introspective to irrepressibly elated.

SUMMER LIGHTS

Colors in the flickering afternoon summer sunlight creating layers of shades. Warm tints, flooded with light, rhythmic and harmonious. Pink, beige, vanilla, and salmon with a zesty accent of papaya. Light and shade, back lit, muted by the light – waxen, transparent and iridescent.

BALANCE

Well-balanced, contented, relaxed. Breath in deeply, let your soul float. Urban and cool, keeping a distance, yet positive and calming. Chalky tints, ethereal, washed, with peach finish or sateen shine, wet finish or a slippery handle. A symphony of delicate shades of blue, a tinge of light green or metallic, of pale pink and freshest lemon, like minerals, water and the sky.

SULTRY

A sensual atmosphere-moist, sultry, sweet, exotic, plant-like. A voluptuous palette, made up of full rich chocolate and nougat colors, of glowing red, mysterious midnight blue and sun drenched yellow. Inspired by plants and vegetables the colors shine like tropical vegetation or are grainy like raw ebony wood.

CHLOROPHYLL

Oxygen, light, vegetation. A symbiosis of nature and science. Combinations of contrasting colors from the gree/blue and the cyclamen/lilac color family all brought into harmony by wheat beige. Effects of over exposure. Strong, luminous colors, sweet and sour, chemically transformed and natural, glowing like fruit jellies.
